ABD has unveiled a number of new technology solutions designed to open new opportunities for digital TV broadcasters. These include the company’s latest range of IPTV, Advanced Video Coding and high-definition set top boxes – providing a complete portfolio for cable, satellite and terrestrial broadcasters.
ADB has become established as the leading supplier of hybrid IPTV set top boxes in Europe, including the world’s first single chip, high-definition set top box based on advanced video coding (AVC), the award winning ADB3800W.
“In a highly competitive industry, our unique end-to-end knowledge of set top box software and hardware coupled with an intimate understanding of the digital television business ensures that we keep our customers ahead of their competition, and to this end we ensure that we deliver new solutions such as Advanced Video Coding, IPTV and high definition television to market quickly,” said Mark Goodburn, Director of Marketing, ADB.
A new range of products for cable, satellite and terrestrial operators will be launching this year, including the upgraded ADB3810TW set top box that combines IPTV, digital terrestrial and high-definition TV in a single unit.
There’s also the ADB5810TWX digital video recorder designed for IPTV customers and a whole new range of set top boxes including the entry-level iCAN 2100T, the interactive high-definition iCAN 5810TX and the high-definition compatible digital video recorder, the iCAN 5810TX.
