Denon delays European launch of Blu-ray player, report suggests
According to a report in German publication Heise Online, Denon is delaying the European launch of its first Blu-ray player until an undisclosed date in early 2008, apparently for technical reasons.
I'm reporting this slightly tentatively, as initially details of a Denon Blu-ray player turned out to be a hoax.
There have also been rumours of Denon producing a dual-format high definition player (they've previously stated they're not tied to Blu-ray) — whether or not we see such a player from Denon in any market next year, we could certainly do with some more quality multi-format players, to help push prices down, give the consumer some choice, and end this ridiculous format scuffle.
