In the quest for super-thin tellies, Sharp has unveiled a prototype 50-inch LCD high definition TV with a 20mm thin display, and just 29mm at its thickest part, weighing in at 25kg, and with a contrast ratio of 100,000:1. That'll be what they've been working on, then.
In the other quest, for eco-friendliness, it supposedly consumes just half the power of the average LCD TV.
Other details are scarce, and there's no production model as yet, but expect Sharp to make more noise about this either during or after IFA.
