We’ve seen bigger from the likes of Sharp and LG, but Samsung claim its latest 70in LCD is the largest 'commercially available' Full HD TV in the world.
The (deep breath) F9 Full HD LED LCD TV features the latest advanced technologies including Samsung’s LED SmartLighting ™, which intuitively senses the TV signal and adjusts brightness by modulating the right combination of LED backlight units – producing an incredible dynamic contrast rating of 500,000:1.
Another new technology is the LED MotionPlus ™, which uses an integrated processing system that progressively scans the array of LED backlights at very high frequencies to adjust fast moving images and eliminate blurring.
The use of LED backlighting makes the F9 one of the most environmentally friendly models on the market with a 30% reduction in power consumption compared to a similar sized model using traditional backlighting.
With a price of around £44,000 though, the 70in Samsung F9 isn’t for the average consumer.
