Sharp has announced the latest additions to its Aquos LCD series. The new D64U series features several large screen sizes using slim line case designs, all with 1080p full HD compatibility.
The new designs are 24% slimmer than previous models and about 20% lighter, which means you can get larger screen sizes into smaller spaces. The 42in model has the same footprint as a typical 40in model, as the image on the left shows.
The range is available in several screen sizes including 65in, 52in, 46in and 52in models. All screens are equipped with Sharp’s Advanced Super View technology and TFT panel with multi pixel technology to enhance high-definition performance. They feature 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and Enhanced Fine Motion control, which provides a response time of 4ms.
All-inclusive connectivity includes three HDMI 1.3 inputs, two component connections, a PC terminal and set of basic AV inputs.
The LC-65D64U will be launched in the US in September while the other screen sizes will be available this month with the LC-52D64U costing $3799, the LC-46D64U costing $2699 and the LC-42D64U at around $2099.
