Sony’s latest Cyber-shot T series cameras can be completely controlled by a LCD touch screen that manages all of the camera’s settings.
Both the DSC-T200 and the DSC-T70 can take photos that can be viewed in full 1080 high-definition on an HDTV. By connecting to an HD display using optional component cables or an HD dock, the cameras allow users to view photos as a slideshow with transitions to programmed or personal music clips.
Sony has also developed a Photo TV HD mode for use with Bravia LCD HDTVs, which optimises the photos for television viewing by fine tuning parameters like sharpness, gradation and colours specifically for photographs.
Images can be edited and enhanced using the touch screen, and users can select different aspect ratios including 16:9 widescreen featured in most flat screen TVs.
The DSC-T200 features a 3.5in wide LCD, a 5x optical zoom lens that’s available in black, silver and red. The DSC-T70 offers a 3in wide LCD, a 3x optical zoom lens and is available in black, silver, white and pink. Both models feature 8 megapixel sensors.
The Cyber-shot DSC-T200 (£200) and DSC-T70 (£150) will be available from September.
