Toshiba is expanding its line up of HD DVD-ROM capable notebooks to offer one of the most comprehensive collections of high-definition mobile computers.
The five HD DVD enabled notebooks cover a range of price points and screen sizes. All models feature high-definition widescreen displays with either 720p or 1080p resolutions and sizes ranging between 15.4in to 17in.
The five new models are the Qosmio ® G45, Qosmio F45, Satellite ® X205, Satellite P205, and Satellite A205 and prices start as low as around £600. All notebooks can be connected to a large screen HDTV via an HDMI output with support for up to 1080p signals.
As well as high-definition quality images, the notebooks are equipped with Dolby Home Theater ™ or Dolby Sound Room ™ cinema like sound technology. And, Microsoft’s HDi technology also introduces a new level of content interactivity including picture-in-picture visuals, commentaries and instant scene book marking.
"HD DVD is the future of the high-definition lifestyle and we are excited to make this revolutionary technology available to everyone at an affordable price," said Mark Simons, vice president and general manager at Toshiba.
"Being able to watch high-definition content across a wide range of our Satellite and Qosmio notebooks or via an HDTV is an experience that we are confident will thrill our users."
Toshiba hasn’t confirmed full prices or UK aviailability, but we’ll keep you posted.
