Now that the weather has taken a turn for the colder it’s time to cosy up indoors and enjoy the feast of entertainment arriving on BBC’s HD channel this autumn.
On the sporting front, the beautiful game continues in all its high-definition glory with coverage of two of England’s must win Euro qualifiers against Estonia (Saturday 13 October) and Russia (Wednesday 21 November).

There’s a new series of Strictly Come Dancing with contestants including Kelly Brook, Penny Lancaster-Stewart, John Barnes and Letitia Dean being put through their steps. There’s a second series of Robin Hood starring Jonas Armstrong and Keith Allen and the US CIA thriller hit series, The Company.
Drama features include Fairy Tales, four comedy dramas with a contemporary take on classic stories including Cinderella, Rapunzel and The Emperor’s New Clothes.
Documentary is provided by Michael Palin and his close to home explorations around the New Europe where he visits 20 countries across East and Central Europe.
And to mark the 60th anniversary of the independence of India and Pakistan, the BBC’s special season of programmes including The Story of India, Ganges, and Saira Khan’s Pakistan Adventure will be shown again.
