Samsung delays release of second generation Blu-ray player and dual format HD player
It seems that two of Samsung’s eagerly awaited Blu-ray players will not be arriving later this month as originally planned.
According to WesleyTech.com, Samsung has cancelled its higher end BDP-2400 player and delayed the launch of the dual format Blu-ray/HD-DVD player, the BD-UP5000.
The BDP-2400 was supposed to be a higher spoecced version of the just-released BDP-1400 – including all the same features and Samsung’s de-interlacing technology.
The dual format player is now expected to reach US stores around December – but there’s no news yet from Samsung as to why there are delays.
