Sony has provided some details about its new 4x internal Blu-ray burner, the BWU-200S, which can burn a 50GB dual-layer disc in just 45 minutes, as well as burning ordinary DVDs at 16x speed.
It plugs into a Serial ATA port and comes with CyberLink BD software for Windows XP and Vista.
Retailing in the States for around $600, though no word on UK availability at present.
