Reports suggest that the HD DVD version of the forthcoming title "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" will offer a Live Community Screening function. This will allow other people who own the movie on HD DVD to watch the movie at the same time, via Internet-connected players.
The host can control the movie, and there's a live chat function. Personally, I'm not convinced the idea will catch on, as everyone needs to own the disc and be available to watch it at the same time. I suppose it could work, but it does sound a little gimmicky at present.
One up over the Blu-ray version, I suppose.
