Medion launches dual-format disc high definition multimedia PC... at Aldi

medion_MD8828_high_definition_multimedia_pc.jpgPC manufacturer Medion has launched its latest media centre PC with Intel VIIV technology and an LG Super Multi Blue HD DVD/Blu-ray dual format drive. The Medion MD8828 will be sold exclusively in Aldi stores priced £629.99, from 2nd December.

Main features are an Intel 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo E6750 processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8600GS DirectX graphics card with both DVI-I and HDMI, 2GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, triple TV tuner (Freeview DVB-T, DVB-S, and analogue), eight channel audio, and 802.11n Wi-Fi.

It comes with Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed, plus software including PowerDirector 6, PowerProducer4, PowerDVD 7 Ultra and MediaShow 3SE; Nero 8 including Nero Burning ROM 8 Essentials, Nero Recode 2SE Essentials, Nero Express Essentials and Nero Vision Express Essentials.

Excellent, but require a recordable HD dual BLu-ray and HD DVD computer.

I have to also see a proper independent review and it should also be reliable, and if possible have pause and rewind video recording with HDMI 1.3 features properly implemented etcetera.
