Not only did Blu-ray discs outsell HD DVDs by 3:1 over Thanksgiving, but apparently the number of players also did.
That's according to the Blu-ray Disc Association (who else), though they do include the Sony PS3 in their figures, which is dubious to say the least. Yes, the PS3 contains a Blu-ray player, but... well, you know the arguments already. At least anecdotally, most people buying a PS3 are doing so for the games, not primarily because it can play Blu-ray discs.
Anyway, this is (probably) the last we'll say on US Thanksgiving disc statistics.
