Sony has shown off the latest version of its VAIO TP Home Theatre PC, and it's now kitted out for high definition.
Available in two configurations — standard and premium — both come with a Blu-ray Disc optical drive, with the premium model featuring two external CableCARD-compatible TV tuners for receiving and recording two HD programmes simultaneously (not much use in the UK yet, then).
Other tech includes full 1080p support, BRAVIA Sync, HDMI-CEC, wireless connectivity, and wireless keyboard, while the unit's small, circular shape is designed to fit well into non-geeky areas of the house.
It uses an Intel Core 2 Duo processor T8100 processor and comes with Windows Vista. Prices start at around $1,600 for the standard model, available in polar white. The premium model will go for around $3,000, and comes in piano black. Available from the end of the month.

looks useful!! I am gonna buy it.
I own the old version of the VAIO TP Home Theatre PC. This new version sounds really good. I am really looking forward to it and upgrading to a new one.
Yes! This is a great system. I own the high-def version of VAIO TP Home Theatre PC and i have to say i am very happy.
If you dont have the high-def version then you should get it. There is a big difference between this one and the other one. Im not saying this because sony is my favorite company but because their really is a big difference.
This is a great system. I have one and compared with the previous system I had from LG am very impressed with the sound quality.
