Makeup takes on the language of high definition
The subject of high definition-friendly makeup has come up before, but now it seems that the industry is adopting some of the tech language as it seeks to sell its advanced products.
Take Cargo, who has introduced the blu_ray Collection (at least it sounds rather better than HD DVD), or Dior's High Definition Serum Foundation.
It's not just professionally produced high definition TV that's causing a stir. The increasing popularity of high definition camcorders means that anyone could find themselves filmed in glorious, or not so glorious, detail.
If anything, beauty companies are trying to keep up with consumers and their interests by using this sort of terminology," says Juliette Baxter, beauty director of Flare magazine. "The HD link is really smart and fun."
