Rock continues to offer HD DVD on laptops

rock_xtreme_770_hd_dvd.jpgIn fairness, it's only been a week since Toshiba officially ditched HD DVD, but given the speed at which other manufacturers have jumped ship, it is perhaps surprising that one notebook maker who pushed HD DVD hasn't made any statement about their position.

Engadget speculates that Rock are simply trying to clear out inventory, though HD DVD drives may not be so dead as to be useless for data storage.

Still, if even Toshiba may be going Blu in notebooks, it would make sense for Rock to make some kind of statement, even if they are maintaining their HD DVD stance.
