Toshiba launching CV Series of high definition LCD TVs
Toshiba has announced a new range of REGZA LCD TVs — the CV Series. They build on Toshiba's C Series range, and will initially be available in 32, 37, and 42-inch screen sizes.
These shiny black models feature Toshiba’s newly evolved Active Vision LCD Picture Processing system, Audio Description facilities (which are being given quite a push at present), a dedicated Game Mode which seeks to reduce lag between a gaming control and the display, and uses 1:1 pixel mapping, and three HDMI inputs.
All sets feature 1,366 x 768 resolution, a Dynamic Contrast Ratio from 15,000:1 to 30,000:1, while the Active Vision system improves colour, movement, detail and contrast in the picture.
Toshiba is also making the point that all REGZA LCD TVs destined for the UK consumer are manufactured here, in Plymouth. Thankfully, the sets also feature a button which performs a full power down (yes, remember those?)
The sets will be available from March, prices to be confirmed.
