Hauppauge to launch free-to-air satellite receiver for PC: WinTV Nova-S USB2

Hauppauge has announced that its WinTV Nova-S USB2 tuner for PC is now available, allowing the viewing of free-to-air satellite content including the forthcoming freesat service. (freesat launched on 6th May 2008)
Anyone with a satellite dish already installed can take advantage of the unit, which easily connects via USB just as many of the popular TV tuner sticks do.
Bundled software will allow users to operate their PC as a PVR, as well as burning up to 2.5 hours of DVD-quality footage to disc. The package comes with the unit, USB cable, ergonomic remote control, WinTV software which includes Electronic Programme Guide and scheduled recording functionality.
In addition, users can also purchase an optional WinTV-CI module for watching subscription satellite TV, when paired with a compatible CAM or SmartCard.
The WinTV Nova-S USB2 will run on any 32-bit XP or Vista PC with at least at 1.5HGHz processor, requires a satellite dish with Universal LNB, and costs £79.99.
