Kulabyte and Mogulus launch high quality HD Flash-encoding and streaming solution
Kulabyte and Mogulus have announced the availability of their new Internet video portal platform which supports high quality Flash-based encoding and streaming up to high definition resolutions.
Kulabyte's XStream and XPress Live Flash encoding solutions together will allow broadcasters to stream high quality over the Web, either with an improvement in quality or a reduction in bandwidth.
This is due in part to the system's ability to utilise live 2-pass variable bit rate (VBR) encoding and streaming.
Mogulus is also launching its new Video on Demand feature, and announcing the upcoming Mogulus Pro. Mogulus Pro is a white-label, ad-free, pay-for-usage version of the Mogulus platform designed for media professionals.
"We are excited to begin this partnership with Mogulus and for them to make the Kulabyte technology available to all their producers and partners. Our two companies are committed to optimising Live Flash Web streaming so Internet viewers around the world will finally receive the benefit of a full screen, high quality, live TV experience, on a scale unlike ever before," remarked Chris Gottschalk, CTO and Co-founder of Kulabyte. Last month Mogulus had over 2.5 million individual viewers worldwide, with its viewership recently doubling every month.
