Paul Sagan, CEO of content service provider Akamai, has suggested that the interest in getting high definition via the Internet will grow significantly over the next five years, claiming that only a very small number of people currently have the bandwidth to enjoy just content.
He said that it was important to push towards getting high definition video delivery via the Internet -- "important because that's the standard that people are getting used to in their living room [with] a big-screen TV," he said.
Content rights management should not be such a big issue, according to Sagan, speaking at a Merrill Lynch & Co technology conference in New York last week.
