According to DigiTimes, Toshiba-Samsung Storage Technology (TSST) is an alliance that could soon manufacture Blu-ray drives.
Samsung is a member of the Blu-ray Disc Association, has abandoned dual format players and is confident of the format, so it's not a huge surprise that even an alliance with Toshiba would still include Blu-ray.
This isn't confirmed news, but based upon the predictions of CyberLink's chairman, Jau Huang, who expects his company to gain rights to bundle their software with Blu-ray devices.
