Eleven million Blu-ray discs sold since format launch

According to recent data, some 11 million Blu-ray discs have been sold since the format launched two years ago, with sales having quadrupled in the last year alone.

Additionally, the top three selling Blu-ray titles this year - I Am Legend, 3:10 Legend, and No Country for Old Men - sold between 8-10% on the high definition format compared to standard DVD.

Even some catalogue titles are doing well, with over a quarter of total disc sales attributable to Blu-ray.
