We've had news of Sky's new high definition channels drip-fed to us over the past few days. Along with Sky Real Lives HD coming at the end of October are the following film genre channels:
- Action/Thriller HD
- Sci-Fi/Horror HD
- Drama HD
- Modern Greats HD
- Family HD
- Comedy HD
Not a huge set of details about the channels, except that they'll be the HD equivalents of the genre-specific standard definition channels available on Sky.
It's certainly great for those subscribing to Sky's film channels who want to watch in HD, and great for Sky as I'd assume this is some of the easiest content to broadcast in high definition.
