Universal announces future Blu-ray music titles

Blu-ray can be much more than a format for high definition films, with a number of companies looking at putting high-fidelity music on to it.

Universal Music Group has announced that it will launch over 25 major titles in October, including ABBA, Kanye West, Amy Winehouse, Elton John, Mariah Carey, Take That, Nine Inch Nails, Keane, Nelly Furtado, Oasis, Andrea Bocelli, and The Police.

Another batch will arrive early next year.

Let's hope that great attention has been paid to audio detail.
