Universal Pictures International Entertainment has announced its first internationally-available Blu-ray disc.
"The Incredible Hulk" with launch worldwide on 13th October, and mark a new era for Universal.
Universal's President, Eddie Cunningham, used the opportunity to highlight his studio's commitment to the Blu-ray format, claiming that it had a strong and compelling line-up of titles for Winter 2008, including five major summer blockbusters, and around 30 titles in total by the end of the year.
Universal plans to roll out titles to a large number of countries, including the UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, and Japan.
Other movie titles coming include "Wanted", "Hellboy II: The Golden Army", "Mamma Mia!", and "The
Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor", plus TV and catalogue favourites including "Heroes", "American Gangster", "Casino", and "The Thing".
