Philips is making a big deal out of its latest fashion-conscious home entertainment offering. "Flavors" is a new, white high definition TV where the emphasis is as much, if not more, on how it looks, than how it performs.
Designed to "look good naked" from all angles, it can be customised with a choice of colourful frames, attached simply thanks to the power of magnetism. Even the cables are white, to blend in with white walls when the TV is mounted.
Even the on-screen menus can be customised to match the frames. That's dedication for you.
As to the TV itself, it's either a 42-inch full HD model, or 32 and 22-inch HD ready models. They feature 5ms response time, Pixel Plus HD, 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, Dolby Virtual Speaker system, 1080p upscaling, and USB 2.0 port.
There's also a home theatre system which follows the same principles, though I've not seen any details for this. Presumably, though, it's not for hanging on the wall.
Exact pricing and UK availability to be confirmed.
