Alienware has announced what it claims is the world's first notebook with a mobile quad-core processor -- the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300.
Featuring a 17-inch 1,920 x 1,200 resolution "Extreme High Definition" LCD, 3GB of DDR3 RAM, ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technology with dual ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 cards, up to two 500GB hard drives, optional Blu-ray drive, and up to 5.1 channel digital audio support, the unit is set up for high definition gaming and video.
Available now, prices starting at £999.
