Remember that big laptop Medion showed off at IFA 2008? Well, it's finally been released.
The 18.4-inch screen suggests that it'll be just fine for high definition content, but its 1,680 x 945 resolution, while 16:9 ratio, will mean upscaling of 720p content and downscaling of 1080p. Interesting.
To give the movies coming off the built-in Blu-ray drive a chance of playing, there's a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 processor, plus 4GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive, and 512MB GeForce 9600M GS graphics card. There's an HDMI output too, for connecting up to larger screens should you want to.
Audio-wise, there's a Dolby audio system offering 5.1-surround sound. Other features include a built-in dual digital TV tuner, webcam, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Windows Vista.
Available for just £800, which isn't at all bad.
