Philips launches 42-inch Essence LCD HDTV
We've already had a glimpse of Philips' Essence TVs at IFA this year, but now the 42-inch wall-hanging HDTV is available to buy in the UK.
The slim design is just 38mm wide as well as being light (16kg), and features a smart levelling bracket which means it's easy to hang it on the wall.
The full HD screen is complemented by Philips' Perfect Pixel HD Engine, and it requires only a single cable carrying power, audio and video, running from the TV to the separate connectivity hub.
Other features of the set include 2ms response time, 100Hz Clear LCD, 66,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a host of inputs including three HDMI ports.
The Essence TV, 42PES0001, is available this month with an estimated price of £1999.
