Sky currently offers the most diverse range of high definition programmes in the UK, but while others play catch up, it hasn't stopped the satellite broadcaster from looking ahead to the next generation of technology.
Sky reckons that its HD set-top boxes are ready to receive 3D TV signals, as and when 3D TVs become more readily available.
Using some sporting footage (Ricky Hatton versus Juan Lazcano, and the Champions League game between Liverpool and Marseille) to test the system, Sky now says that its dishes and receivers are "3D ready".
Yet something else to confuse consumers. Time to get those funny glasses ready again.
