Sanyo has today announced five new high definition Xacti Dual camcorders, claiming a couple of world firsts in the process.
The world's first waterproof HD models (DMX-WH1, DMX-CA9) and first 1080/60p camcorders (DMX-FH11, DMX-HD2000) will launch alongside a compact HD camcorder (DMX-CG10). The DMX-HD2000 will launch first in Japan on 6th February.

The DMX-HD2000 can record up to 135 minutes of progressive full HD video thanks to a newly developed high-speed image processing engine.
Other features available across these models include 8-megapixel photos, 16x advanced zoom, and high speed video up to 600fps.

The waterproof DMX-WH1 features 30x optical zoom, while both models can be used at depths up to 3m.
The compact DMX-CG10 uses AVCHD video compression and can shoot 10-megapixel photos.
