Last week, Susi took a look at Philips' latest idea - the ultra-widescreen (21:9 aspect ratio) high definition TV.
Philips seems to think this is a significant step forward, but will it catch on? True film buffs might be better investing in an HD projector with anamorphic lens, rather than taking up quite a bit of horizontal space in the living room with a TV that will display most content with huge black bars either side.
As news leaked out a bit earlier than Philips may have planned, full specs aren't readily available yet, though it does feature Ambilight. It's expected in Europe sometime in the second quarter. Rumour has it that it won't ever be launched in the US.
