Sky recalling around 90,000 faulty Sky+ HD boxes
Thanks to a fault that could be gradually degrading the performance of the hard drive, Sky has chosen to recall around 90,000 Pace-manufactured Sky+ HD boxes.
It's a matter of build quality and internal cabling according to Pace, with batch versions affected being 9F3001, 9F3002, 9F3003 and 9F3004.
As compensation for the upheaval, which will include the contents of the existing hard drive being lost, customers will get three months' free subscription to Sky HD pack, worth about a tenner a month.
