The BBC has confirmed that a third series of the popular Lark Rise to Candleford has been commissioned, with filming due to start in the summer for transmission next year.
Bill Gallagher's drama is an adaptation of Flora Thompson's childhood memoirs, and stars Julia Sawalha, Olivia Hallinan, Jason Merrells, Brendan Coyle, Olivia Grant, Mark Heap and Ruby Bentall.
"The wonderful cast of characters and storylines has firmly established the show's popularity with the audience and I look forward to Bill and the team bringing us new stories from the world of Lark Rise in a third series," said Kate Harwood, Controller, Series and Serials.
Average audiences have been around the 6.4m viewer mark and the series has received a lot of positive feedback from both fans and press.
It will be shot in high definition and be simulcast on the BBC HD channel.
