NXP Semiconductors has announced that its DVB-S2/MPEG-4 digital video recorder set-top box solution has been built in to Amstrad's new DRX780UK Sky+HD high definition satellite receiver.
Naturally, Amstrad and NXP have both expressed their pleasure at the partnership, with Amstrad's technical director, Roger Lambert, speaking of the company's ability to meet consumer demand for a wide range of high definition broadcast channels, timeshifting and on-demand services.
