Asus has announced its latest series of notebook PCs featuring a range of advanced technologies including full high definition video playback and output.
The U Series of laptops come with screen sizes from 12.1 to 15.6-inch and all feature LED backlighting.
The Light-in-motion function senses ambient light and adjusts the screen brightness automatically, conserving battery life, using less power and making the screen more comfortable to view in any setting.
Various high performance graphics options include the NVIDIA GeForce G105M that is powerful enough to offer full 1080p HD playback. This is coupled with the latest Intel CULV (Consumer Ultra Low Voltage) processor that's designed for high performance and power efficiency.
Other features include HDMI output, Altec Lansing stereo speakers, SRS Surround Sound, 4GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, illuminated MosaicGlow chiclet keyboard, Wi-Fi, and Vista installed.
The U20 starts at £799 with the U50 and UX50 coming in at £999+, available from early July. The U80's price and availability is to be confirmed.
