Samsung launching PL70 HD-capable compact camera
I'll be totally honest and say that I don't get too excited about compact cameras that can shoot in HD. It seems to be the latest "must have" feature, some manufacturers implement it better than others.
If you want an "all in one" that can handle stills and movies, then the latest wide angle PL70 from Samsung may be what you're looking for.
Here we have a 12-megapixel compact digital camera able to capture 720p high definition video, and with a built in HDMI output so you can connect straight to your HDTV for viewing movies and pics.
Other features are much as you'd expect from a modern compact -- scene modes, stabilisation, various detection modes and so on.
Available from August with a RRP of £199.
